GWM Haval H6 Extended Car Warranty

The GWM Haval H6 is one of China's most successful SUV exports and has established a growing presence in South Africa, offering premium features, strong safety ratings and a competitive warranty at a price below equivalent European and Japanese alternatives.
The H6's five-year/100 000 km factory warranty is competitive, but once cover expires, repairs on the turbocharged petrol, hybrid and AWD systems carry significant costs. An extended motor warranty protects your investment beyond the factory period.

Known GWM Haval H6 failure areas
The Haval H6 is newer to the South African market, but specific failure areas are being documented as more examples reach higher mileage — and these are not wear-and-tear items.
7-speed DCT dual-clutch transmission failure is the most commonly reported issue on the H6 2.0T. The DCT can exhibit jerky, hesitant gear changes in stop-start traffic, shuddering on take-off and clutch pack wear on higher-mileage examples. TCM software updates resolve some cases, but physical clutch or mechatronics damage requires specialist workshop repair and is a genuine warranty claim.
Turbocharger failure on the 2.0T engine has been documented on higher-mileage H6 examples. Heat soak in urban conditions and oil quality degradation between services are the primary contributing factors. Turbocharger replacement is a major workshop job fully covered under an extended warranty.
Hybrid battery and inverter issues on the HEV and PHEV variants are an emerging concern as the first South African examples reach higher mileage. Hybrid drivetrain components carry significant replacement costs and are electrical and mechanical component failures — not service items.
