Hyundai Creta Extended Car Warranty

The Hyundai Creta was South Africa’s best-selling SUV in 2024 — and for good reason. It combines genuine SUV proportions, a feature-rich cabin and Hyundai’s 5-year/150 000 km manufacturer warranty. That warranty is exceptional while it’s active. Once it expires, an extended warranty is the only way to keep that same peace of mind in place.
With turbocharged 1.4T DCT and naturally aspirated 1.5-litre options, the Creta’s drivetrains are sophisticated enough that an unexpected failure — a DCT fault, a turbocharger issue, an electrical module — can mean a significant repair bill. An extended warranty covers exactly those scenarios.

Known Hyundai Creta failure areas
DCT (dual-clutch transmission) shudder and hesitation is the most commonly reported fault on the 1.4T Creta. The 7-speed DCT can exhibit judder at low speeds and hesitation on pull-away — particularly on higher-mileage examples. DCT repairs and replacements are costly and fully covered under an extended warranty.
Turbocharger failures on the 1.4T engine have been documented at higher mileages, particularly on vehicles that have not received strictly on-time oil changes. Turbo replacement is a significant expense without warranty cover.
Infotainment and electrical module faults — including touchscreen failures and connectivity module issues — are reported across both the 1.5 and 1.4T Creta. Electronic component failures are covered under an extended warranty as genuine component faults, not wear and tear.
