Toyota RAV4 Extended Service Plan
The RAV4 has earned its place as Toyota’s best-selling SUV in South Africa, and with good reason: it offers a spacious, reliable package across petrol and hybrid powertrains. Keeping it serviced correctly — particularly the Hybrid’s hybrid battery and inverter cooling circuit — requires strict adherence to Toyota’s intervals and genuine parts. An extended service plan locks in that discipline at a fixed monthly cost.

What’s included
Engine Service
Engine oil and filter replacement at every service interval. Synthetic grade specified by Toyota SA.
Air & Fuel Filters
Engine air filter and fuel filter replacement on Toyota’s prescribed schedule.
Spark Plugs
Iridium spark plug replacement. The 2.5 Hybrid runs a high-compression Atkinson-cycle engine that demands correct plug type.
Brake Fluid
Brake fluid replacement — hygroscopic fluid requires periodic replacement to maintain braking system integrity.
Hybrid Coolant Check
Inverter cooling circuit inspection and top-up on 2.5 Hybrid models. Critical for hybrid battery longevity.
Multi-Point Inspection
Full inspection at every service visit. Toyota-trained technicians, Toyota dealer network.
Why servicing matters more on the Hybrid
The RAV4 2.5 Hybrid carries a high-voltage NiMH or lithium battery pack and an inverter cooling circuit that is entirely separate from the engine coolant circuit. Both require periodic inspection. Neglecting the inverter coolant interval can lead to overheating of the power electronics — an out-of-warranty repair that costs significantly more than a service plan. The extended service plan covers this check at every service visit.
Combine with an extended warranty
A service plan covers what you know is coming. An extended warranty covers what you don’t. For complete protection on your RAV4:
